Russell Earl Katherman of Rotunda, West Florida, passed away January 5, 2014. He was born to the late Delbert and Nelly Katherman in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 30, 1943.
Russ graduated from Wentworth Military Academy and continued his education at Florida State University receiving a degree in Civil Engineering. Russ was a life-long engineer working for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Cape Canaveral Florida, the Atomic Energy Commission in Oak Ridge Tennessee, and Schreiber Foods in Clinton, Missouri.
He is survived by Sandra Katherman of the home, eight children; Elizabeth Little Sun of North Kansas City, Missouri; Russell Lee Katherman and his spouse Jennifer of Clancy, Montana; Annessia Powell and her spouse Kyle of Jacksonville, Florida; Pamela Martin and her spouse Donnie of Blue Springs, Missouri; Shannon Durham and her spouse Tom of West Fork, Arkansas; Kimberly Colby of Independence, Missouri; Brian Corder of Independence, Missouri and Mary Kreissler and her spouse Jerry of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; Nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services for Russ will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri with Rev. Sam Hinkle, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral services beginning at 10:00 A.M. Monday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the Reser Funeral Home, P.O.
